On April 10th, Palais Ideal are going to release a new single. «The Programme» and its b side track «A Strange Day» were engineered, recorded and produced by John Edwards & Richard van Kruysdijk at Poème Electronique & Studio 37, Eindhoven. John Fryer mixed and produced the songs at Black Needle Noise Recording Emporium, Los Angeles.
Palais Ideal is vocalist John Edwards and Richard van Kruysdijk. The songs by the band from the Netherland are constructed from fragments of post-punk, new wave and goth. Foundations are provided by vintage synthesizers and drum machines. Sweeping guitars and vocals create overarching structures. Romanticism and stark modernism are fused into an energetic new style inspired by the works of The Cure, New Order, The Sound and the Sisters of Mercy.
As musicians and producers, both members have worked on projects for independent and major labels and toured extensively. They have collaborated in their previous bands with members of Wire, Bauhaus, Tuxedomoon, Christian Death, The Legendary Pink Dots, Coil, Clan of Xymox and Swans.
In February 2018, they released their debut album «No Signal». Cold Tansmission Music is looking forward to releasing the follow-up very soon!
